Hi all, I thought I’d just introduce myself, I’m Sarah, founder and photographer at Ada & Eve Photography. I am a Registered Nurse and Naturopath, where i work part time in Emergency and Cancer Research. I’m also the proud Mum of two little girls, Ada and Everly, who were the inspiration for my company name, and the inspiration for everything I do.
My passion for photography started way before I became a Mum. I travelled the world for several years, sailing the high seas as a cruise ship Nurse. I travelled all around the world, from the USA, Canada to the Caribbean Islands. We sailed down the Amazon River, through Brasil, then over the Europe and the Baltic, where I saw the most amazing landscapes I could ever image.
Armed with my point and shoot camera i took photos of everything I could imagine, wanting to have photos to remember this wonderful time in my life. For my 30th Birthday I bought myself my first DSLR camera and hiked to Everest base camp, which was an amazing experience and one that I will never forget, especially as I have amazing photos!
Then when my friends and family started to have kids I found myself wanting to photograph them, and this is where my passion for newborn photography started. I spent a few years learning everything I could, investing in education and gaining experience on any baby I could get my hands on. After my girls were born, I realise what an honour it is to be a Mum. I also realised that I didn’t want to miss a minute of their early childhood and wanted to remember it forever, and that starts with having beautiful pictures of them. So they are probably sick of me always getting my camera out at every opportunity but I love having those memories.
I aim to provide the same memories for my clients. I want my clients to have photos of their pregnancy, newborn babies and children hanging on their walls, in albums on their coffee table and on their computers, that when they pull them out it makes them smile. Or they walk into a room, and see their newborn baby, only a week old, captured forever in an amazing artwork on their wall. When they see their innocent baby, their heart goes just that bit softer, time stands still and their brain is filled with the memories, the love and the warmth that is their child. I aim to capture, not just memories, but emotion, love and what is family.
